Acupuncture
Marnie McCurdy is a licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and nationally certified acupuncturist. She has had an active practice in the Bay area for the past 20 years. Her areas of specialty include gynecology, infertility, prenatal and postnatal care, chronic pain management and digestive health. On your first visit you can expect a thorough Chinese Medicine assessment, a review of blood labs and diet and a review of complaints possibly related to endocrine function. You may choose just acupuncture, but Marnie feels a comprehensive approach yields the best response.
When treating chronic pain Marnie draws upon her knowledge of movement. She earned her undergraduate degree in dance and went on to study Pilates Mat and movement analysis/re-education techniques such as the Alexander Method and Gokhale Method. She often finds that chronic pain requires a multi-faceted approach of movement rehab, acupuncture, bodywork and overall relaxation of the nervous system.
In the field of obstetrics, she enjoys sharing her experiences of how effective acupuncture can be in treating some of the common conditions that arise during pregnancy. She is a caring partner on the path to Motherhood, and is co-founder of Golden Month Mothercare- https://www.goldenmonthmothercare.com./

My name is Asiya, Arabic word Asiya (آسیا) means “healer”. My journey into bodywork began in 2023 on the Hawaiian island of Maui. During my 29th birthday trip, I discovered that I had healing abilities in my hands. Shortly after, I enrolled in massage school—a decision I consider one of the best I’ve ever made. I was captivated by the field and loved every moment of it. I gave so many hours of bodywork to my friends and family throughout my study.
However, just a month into my studies, I injured my piriformis muscle. This setback led me on a personal journey of recovery and deepened my understanding of body awareness. Through this experience, I gained valuable insights into working with injuries, which now enhances my approach to bodywork. In addition to my bodywork practice, I am now a passionate belly dancer and an avid Pilates enthusiast, my next step would be acquiring a yoga teacher certificate. These pursuits have further expanded my appreciation for movement and body mechanics, complementing my professional skills and contributing to my holistic approach to wellness.
In my practice, I focus primarily on interacting with the client’s nervous system, ensuring it responds effectively to the modalities I use, and I always make sure I am moving according to chi gong principles, moving the energy through my feet to my hips, I encourage the breathwork throughout the session. My favorite techniques include myofascial release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), holds, energy work and deep tissue work. Many clients report feeling as though they’ve entered a state of trance during our sessions. Available at Noe Valley.
