What to expect on your first visit:
On your first visit you may expect a complete orthopedic and neurological evaluation. As a part of that evaluation a non-invasive gentle scan of the nervous system will be performed. Dr. Trace utilizes an advanced chiropractic technology called Surface EMG that scans your spine and delivers a computerized image of the stress and tension on the nervous system. Surface electromyography measures electrical energy of even the smallest amounts in the muscles along your spine. Subluxations can disturb function of the nervous system and are reflected as too high or too low electrical activity in your muscles. Thermal scan is another technology she uses. Thermography measures temperature and when disturbances occur in the nervous system often there are temperature changes from side to side. These temperature changes are often a result of inflammation and changes in blood flow. The thermal scan reflects the condition of the body’s autonomic nervous system control of organs, glands and circulatory system.
These technologies are at the focal point of Dr.Trace’s chiropractic practice. Chiropractic care is based on the condition of your nervous system, not just symptoms, this non-invasive scan provides highly accurate documentation for treatment and progress.
Health + Chiropractic
“The function of the nervous system is to perceive the environment and coordinate the behavior of all other cells.” – Bruce Lipton.
Health is about more than “feeling good” or being free of pain or symptoms. Health and wellness are about how the body is functioning. When the body is functioning at 100%, it has an innate ability to adapt to anything that might occur in its environment and to maintain optimal health. In its ideal state, the body is a whole, self-healing system.
Ill health results from the body’s inability to adapt to stressors (whether emotional, mental, physical, or chemical), which results in a decrease in its functions. Chiropractors strive to restore and maintain your health and wellness by working to remove the root cause of your problem. The chiropractic adjustment removes subluxations (fixation of vertebrae which limits motion thereby altering sensory input and motor output) so that the body can function naturally and at is optimum. Additionally, your chiropractor supports your adjustments with healthy lifestyle strategies and patient education to keep you feeling and functioning well everyday.
